After studying a multitude of art courses, from interior design to graphic design and most things in between, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2003 from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. That same year I got married, moved away from my hometown and began a family.
I couldn't predict the heartaches that were to come. Just seven years later, my husband committed suicide, leaving behind our three young boys, now looking to me for stability. I was stuck in my shock and devastation.
But something became unstuck when I painted. While creating, I was processing the unspoken emotions from my depths. And in that space, I was gifted my signature drip method. It was an outpouring of pain and grief which presented itself, surprisingly, as beauty. Joy and pain coexist? And there is my Creator at work making it all beautiful? It sparked a fire inside to capture all the ways joyful drips can express themselves.
All the glory to my God, the author of creativity.
