Drip Drop Joy Box: Light of the World

The hope of this project is to share joy and connect with each other. I’ve written a few thoughts on what this piece means to me, and I’d love for you to do the same.

How was the artwork meaningful to you?  What about it connected to you?

Did you receive art, send art, or get to do both?

You have a story to tell.  There is strength in the vulnerability.  And a community to be found in the sharing.

“You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand  — shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.”

Matthew 5:14-16 (MSG)

Only light can expel the darkness that surrounds. The One True Light humbly arrived as a baby, a gift that would change the world. Jesus Christ is the light that never dims, never changes, and never leaves us to be alone in the dark.

Christ, born in a manger, sent from heaven on a mission of sacrificial love for you and me. Creating the way for us to be filled with that same light to share to others. Through His gift, we are able to join in and be that same light of the world.

A celebration of great proportions!

Merry Christmas, indeed!
